Can I get a little light in here, please.

Why is it Chris Claremont is allowed to be called "creator" of Wolverine and Todd McFarlane is not allowed the same prestige when it comes to Spider-Man? You are a double-faced house of ideas, man.

I don’t know that Chris is called creator of Wolverine by us, so i think your premise is flawed.

However, Chris did contribute far more to what’s made Wolverine a successful character over the years than Todd did to Spidey. It’s not difficult to win a race when you begin with a Mazzerati, even if you drive it really well.

I mean technically Todd MCFarlane is “allowed” to be called creator of Spider-Man.

Obviously, anyone who said it would be wrong, but technically, by and by, it is possible to say it out loud.

(also never been aware of anyone crediting Claremont with Wolverine’s creation)

I suppose the same situation would be someone accrediting X-Factor’s creation to Peter David.
